Dysart Enos wins the Mares' Standard Open

And it's victory for Paddy Brennan on Dysart Enos, who romped home in impressive fashion.

Read the full results of not only this race, but the entire day's racing here.

And we're off!

And the final race at Aintree is now underway, with the Mares' Standard Open capping off day one of the Grand National festival.

Dancing On My Own wins the Red Rum Handicap Chase!

Douglas Talking took an early lead, but was ultimately pipped by Dancing On My Own after hitting the final fence.

And we're off!

It's time for the penultimate race at Aintree today, with the Red Rum Handicap Chase getting underway.

Biddick: Famous Clermont a "class act"

Jockey Will Biddick was delighted after his victory on Famous Clermont, saying: "As he's gone he's warmed up. I thought he was beat three out! He's a class act, it's nice that we have got one of them in the point-to-point ranks and in these championship races."

Famous Clermont wins the Foxhunters Open Hunters Chase

Famous Clermont has cruised home to win the Foxhunters!

Bennys King finished second, while Lough Derg Spirit was third and last year's champion Latenightpass ended up fourth.

And we're off!

It's now time for the Foxhunters Open Hunters Chase, with Latenightpass hoping to make it back-to-back victories after winning the race last year.

The Master Hurdler

Constitution Hill showed why he is the horse of the generation once more at the Aintree Hurdle.

Trainer Nicky Henderson has said his superstar performer could switch to chasing next season and jockey Nico de Boinville confirmed that was the target after the latest win for the Cheltenham hero.

Constitution Hill gets the job done again

An easy win for the 1/9 favourite who was assured once more to claim his seventh successive victory.

Nico de Boinville did not push the unbeaten champion hurdler but he was still a convincing victor by a few lengths for trainer Nicky Henderson.

  1. Constitution Hill
  2. Sharjah
  3. Zanahiyr

Imperious Constitution Hill wins the Aintree Hurdle!

You just have to marvel at the irrepressible Constitution Hill.

The superstar controlled the 2m 4f race in what seemed like an exhibition for the unbeaten champion hurdler.

And we're off!

The excitement is palpable as 1/9 favourite Constitution Hill gets underway in the 2m 4f William Hill Aintree Hurdle.

Constitution Hill to shine again

All logic suggests Constitution Hill will charge to his seventh successive victory in the 3.30 William Hill Aintree Hurdle.

The superstar is the huge favourite to continue his unbeaten run as a champion hurdler.

Constitution Hill: 1/9

Epatante: 14/1

Zanahiyr: 16/1

I Like to Move It 22/1

Sharjah 22/1

Sceau Royal 50/1

Constitution Hill is back

All eyes quickly turn to Constitution Hill ahead of the Cheltenham hero's return in the 3.30 William Hill Aintree Hurdle.

The unbeaten champion hurdler is being backed at odds as short as 1/10 with fans at Aintree excited to see a legendary horse dominate one more.

The consensus is that the only value in the race will come in the winning distance markets, but one punter has incredibly backed the Nicky Henderson-trained horse to win with a staggering £280,000 bet, Star Sports have revealed.

Luke Tarr, Head of PR at Star Sports, said: “We’ve just laid a £280k bet on Constitution Hill at 1/10 in the Aintree Hurdle. While he is an incredible racehorse and looks unbeatable on all known form, he’s a price we are happy to lay at.”

Agony for Ahoy Senor

Agony for Ahoy Senor as he is reeled in by the outstanding Shishkin.

A Plus Tard ridden by Rachel Blackmore could not challenge the duo, and Shishkin dug deep to take a dramatic victory for trainer Nicky Henderson.

  1. Shishkin
  2. Ahoy Senor
  3. A Plus Tard

Shishkin wins the Aintree Bowl!

Shiskin has beaten Ahoy Senor in another absolute thriller on the opening day of the Grand National Festival!

They're off!

Who will win the Alder Hey Aintree Bowl?

Shishkin is the favourite after the withdrawal of Bravemansgame but will face competition from the dangerous Ahoy Senor and A Plus Tard.

High quality field for the Aintree Bowl

There is a star-studded field despite the absence of Bravemansgame in the 2.55 Alder Hey Aintree Bowl.

Shishkin: 7/4

Ahoy Senor: 5/2

A Plus Tard: 10/3

Conflated: 5/1

Ga Law 25/1

2.55 missing Bravemansgame

The Aintree Bowl is up next at 2.55 but a quick reminder that powerhouse Bravemansgame is a key absentee from this one.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up was withdrawn from the race last night due to ongoing ownership issues.

Shishkin, Ahoy Senor and A Plus Tard will battle it out in Bravemansgame's absence.

What a race!

Bo Zenith was ahead just before the line but can be counted hugely unlucky to just lose out to one of the stars of the show at Aintree.

Zenta dropped her head just in time to sneak the win.

Zenta wins the Juvenile Hurdle!

Zenta has pipped Bo Zenith to the post in a thrilling photo finish at the Juvenile Hurdle.

The two favourites were neck and neck in a dramatic battle to the finish and the Willie Mullins-trained Zenta proved just strong enough with a victory by the barest of margins.

  1. Zenta
  2. Bo Zenith
  3. Nusret

We are underway!

They are off in the 2.20 Juvenile Hurdle in the second race of the day.

All eyes are on Willie Mullins' 5/4 favourite Zenta in this one as the sunshine comes out at Aintree.

The Juvenile Hurdle up next at 2.20

There are 11 runners in the Juvenile Hurdle hurdle at 2.20.

Willie Mullins-trained Zenta is clearly the horse to beat in the second race of the day after a third place finish in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

William Hill Juvenile Hurdle odds:

  • Zenta 5/4
  • Bo Zenith 6/1
  • Nusret 13/2
  • Scriptwriter 13/2
  • Perseus Way 11/1
