Grand National 2023: What date and time is the race and what channel is it on?

The Grand National is under a week away as excitement builds for the world’s greatest steeplechase at Aintree Racecourse.

Whether you’re an avid racing fan or simply enjoy a flutter once a year, the Grand National is one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar with millions set to tune into the race.

Corach Rambler, who became a back-to-back winner of the Ultima Handicap Chase in impressive fashion at the Cheltenham Festival in March, is the current favourite. The Lucinda-Russell trained nine-year-old is a general 6/1 shot with the bookmakers’ to achieve glory around the 4 miles, 2 ½ furlongs course next weekend.

But plenty of other runners are likely to prove popular in the betting, not least last year’s winner Noble Yeats. The eight-year-old who bolted up as a 50/1 shot under the now retired Sam Waley-Cohen in 2022 is at 8/1.

Other horses who are strong in the market include Delta Work (10/1) and Mr Incredible as well as Gaillard Du Mesnil (both 12/1).
