Mbappe the man

Greece still have the slimmest chance of securing automatic qualification for next year’s European Championship finals through the group.

They are relying on Gibraltar to beat the Netherlands and themselves to beat France, arguably the best side in Europe.

Les Bleus’ attacking prowess was on show at the weekend as they recorded an astonishing 14-0 win over Gibraltar – a new European Championship qualifying record.

Kylian Mbappe scored three in that game to take his tally for the qualifying campaign to nine in seven games, including the only goal when these sides met in Paris in June.

France have conceded just once in the group stage and are likely to field a strong team tonight so another win with Mbappe on the scoresheet seems a sensible bet.

Greece vs France tip 1: France to win and Kylian Mbappe to score @ 49/50 with BetMGM

Quiet game for officials

With the fate of these two sides all but decided going into this game, referee Daniel Siebert can expect a low-key match.

Neither of the sides are particularly troublesome for the officials, averaging 2.71 and 1.29 yellow cards per match respectively in qualifying.

We can expect Greece to underperform their average tonight as serial offenders Petros Mantalos and Dimitrios Kourbelis are unavailable through suspension.

The midfield pair have both been shown three yellow cards, accounting for almost a third of Greece’s total cards.

Given the nature of the game and without those two, under 2.5 cards at 2/1 looks like an enticing bet.

Greece vs France tip 2: Under 2.5 cards @ 2/1 with BetMGM

Bakasetas the danger man

Although Greece have scored 12 goals in this qualification campaign, they only average 3.71 shots on target per game and in the reverse fixture against France that figure dropped to two.

Didier Deschamps’ side have been good at restricting the opposition, facing on average 2.14 shots on target per game – only three teams have faced fewer on average.

If Greece are to test Brice Samba, who is expected to start in goal for France this evening, Anastasios Bakasetas is likely to be the danger man from midfield.

The 30-year-old has the 10th-highest number of shots on target across the qualifying campaign at an average of 1.83 per 90 minutes.

If both elements play out tonight, our bet builder will land at odds of 14/5.

Greece vs France tip 3: Under 3.5 Greece shots on target and Anastasios Bakasetas over 0.5 shots on target @ 14/5 with BetMGM
