Grizzlies vs. Jazz prediction and odds for NBA Summer League

The Jazz may be the host city for the Utah Summer League, but home court hasn't paid off with the team dropping both games.

The team has one more chance to score a victory against the undefeated Memphis Grizzlies, who are fresh off a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Both teams played last night and will have a quick turn around that can test the depth of both units.

How should we handicap this one with some increased questions about rotations and motivation?

Here are the odds and our best bet for the final game before teams head to Las Vegas.

Spread:

Moneyline:

Total: 185.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

The Grizzlies have a deep group of potential NBA contributors on hand, but I wonder how much run the likes of Jake LaRavia (25 points in Wednesday's win) Kenneth Lofton Jr. and David Roddy with an eye on Las Vegas this weekend.

That is generating value on the Jazz, who were competitive in both games before losing to the likes of the Thunder and the Sixers. Utah was plagued by 22 turnovers in the loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday despite shooting 42% from beyond the arc.

To me, the difference between the two teams with short rest and questionable rotations isn't four-and-a-half points like the spread is indicating. There are far too many questions we don't know not to take a stab on the Jazz to stay close and possibly win this game outright.

Utah has been giving plenty of time to first round pick Keyonte George while also getting contributions from NBA players in recent years including Luka Samanic, Johnny Juzang and Vernon Carey Jr.

Bet on some randomness in the Utah Summer League finale.

PICK: Jazz ML (+160)
