Group of Five Underdog of the Week: Coastal Carolina

Western Kentucky didn't come close to covering in a loss to Auburn. Navy was picked to play Navy for the second week in row. This week there should be a lot of close games and intrigue.

Coastal Carolina is a Group of Five Underdog of the Week. The winner of this game would represent the Sun Belt East in the title game in 2024. James Madison has one year of postseason ineligibility because of its recent reclassification to the FBS level.

Coastal plays JMU in the last game of the season. The game will have a lot of influence on the College Football Playoff ranking. Coastal has two games remaining. They need to beat JU by a couple of possessions to have any chance of making it to the New Year's Six Bowl.

Western Michigan has been an underdog in each game in November. The Broncos' offense is last in the MAC, but their defense is second in MAC. Toledo has a high-powered attack, and it hasn't covered in its last four games. Western Michigan covered three of its four previous games and is favored by 7.5 points.

Memphis is favored by 4.5 points at SMU. SMu's offense was on a heater before it lost to Tulane. Memphis' defense is not as bad as Houston's.

Akron is playing Northern Illinois. The Zips haven't won a conference game this season. Northern Illini is 0-5 ATS at home and 0 -5 as a favorite.
