Guardians vs Yankees Prediction

The Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees will meet in the Bronx for game two of their three-game set this Tuesday from Yankee Stadium. Cleveland stole game one with three scores in the ninth, 3-2.

Guardians Betting Preview

Cleveland fell to 14-15 after defeating New York. The Guardians showed up when it mattered last night, but they may not be able to wait until the final inning in game two. The Cleveland offense is scoring 3.85 runs per game, while batting .232, with a .311 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.04 ERA, with a 1.30 WHIP. Jose Ramirez has recorded a hit in seven of the last nine games, and he leads Cleveland in RBI (17). Steven Kwan is carrying a four-game hit streak into this one, and he’s right behind JRam for the team-lead in hitting at .278.

Tanner Bibee (1-0, 1.59 ERA, 13 Ks) will get the call for Cleveland. The rookie pitcher performed well in his MLB debut last week, striking out eight over 5.2 innings of work versus the Rockies. Bibee will have his work cut out for him here in the Bronx, but it should be interesting to see how many strikeouts he can land after fanning eight in his first appearance.

Yankees Betting Preview

New York fell to 15-15 after losing to Cleveland. The Yankees wasted an eight-inning outing from Domingo German, and they’ve now dropped four of five. The New York offense is scoring 3.92 runs per game, while batting .226, with a .299 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.78 ERA, with a 1.18 WHIP. Anthony Rizzo will be leaned on again with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton out with injury, and he leads the Yanks in hitting (.274). Gleyber Torres has recorded a hit in seven of the last nine games.

Gerrit Cole (5-0, 1.11 ERA, 12 Ks) will take the mound for New York. The ace of staff has been dialed in early, and he looks like a Cy Young candidate once again. Cole helped nab the Yanks only win in Austin last week after striking out eight over 6.2 innings of work. Cole has cleared eight strikeouts in four of six games, and he’s only allowed one run in four starts at Yankee Stadium.

Cleveland vs New York Trends

Cleveland is 12-17 against the spread this season, with a 11-17-1 O/U record. New York is 13-17 ATS this year, with a 10-19-1 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

New York will head into another contest with their lineup struggling without their big guns, but they will have the blessing.of sending one of the best pitchers in the league to the mound. Gerrit Cole has been lights out early on, and he’s more than trustworthy in this spot. Back the Yankees at home Tuesday night.
