Hardik Pandya IPL team, stats, 2023 schedule: Has Pandya ever won the IPL?

Hardik Pandya is one of the most instantly recognisable names and faces in world cricket.

From a bit-part player to star international all-rounder, the 29-year-old has enjoyed quite the journey to the stage where he's now part of the furniture of the India side, featuring in all three formats.

But it's with the white ball — either smashing it over the ropes, or taking wickets with it — that Pandya does his best work. And he often saves his best performances for the Indian Premier League.

Here is all you need to know about Pandya's IPL career, his record, his wins and how he's enhanced his reputation over the years...

Until 2022, Pandya was a one-franchise man when it came to the Indian Premier League. After making his debut in 2015, he stuck with the Mumbai Indians until his release after the 2021 season.

Pandya was then selected — and made captain — by newly formed IPL franchise the Gujarat Titans, who became champions last year. Pandya is now representing the state in which he was born.

Has Hardik Pandya ever won the IPL?

Hardik Pandya to Gujarat proved a masterstroke of a move, as he took the Titans to the IPL title in their very first year of existence. With that, he became the first IPL captain to lead a team to the trophy in their debut year since Shane Warne did it with the Rajasthan Royals in the first ever IPL back in 2008.

Pandya had won the IPL four times before with Mumbai Indians under Rohit Sharma's captaincy, in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

Hardik Pandya IPL stats

There aren't many who can match Pandya's prowess with both bat and ball in the IPL era.

His strike rate of nearly 150 reflects his belligerence with the bat, while he's a regular wicket-taker with the ball in hand.

Hardik Pandya IPL history

Pandya's IPL career got off to a trademark blistering start, as he smashed a six off his second ever ball in the competition in a game against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

There has been more of the same ever since, with the all-rounder proving himself a man for the pressure situations.

He got out for a second-ball duck in the 2015 final at the end of his first season but hit a 10-ball cameo of 16 and bowled a miserly three-run over in the 2019 final to help Mumbai Indians to the win.

He then stood up tall as captain for Gujarat Titans in the 2022 final, taking best-ever bowling figures of 3/17 from his four overs to reduce Rajasthan Royals to just 130/9 batting first before a measured 34 with the bat helped the Titans home.

Pandya's performances in the IPL have helped him earn 87 T20 international appearances with India, along with 66 ODI appearances and 11 Test caps, scoring his maiden international century in a 2017 Test against Sri Lanka.
