Heat guard Victor Oladipo not close to returning from knee injury

Victor Oladipo had season-ending surgery to repair his re-injured right quadriceps tendon in May 2021. He played a combined 12 games the last two seasons with the Indiana Pacers. Some sportsbooks are giving the Miami Heat the 11th-best odds to win the championship in 2023.

Victor Oladipo has a knee injury and needs more time to recover. He played in 75 games last season, including 15 during the playoffs. In July, he signed a two-year, $18.2 million contract extension with the Heat. He cannot be traded until January 15, 2023. The contract includes a trade restriction.
