Anything can happen in the postseason, and that was much evident on Sunday as the Heat and Bucks began their series in Milwaukee. Not only did the Bucks have a home-court advantage, but they finished the regular season as the best team in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat had to fit their way in through the Play-In Tournament. While you were correct to expect a one-sided game, you were likely incorrect in forecasting the direction of it.

There is a lot to mull over and analyze, so what can we expect on Wednesday? Stay right here as we will provide our Heat vs. Bucks Game 2 predictions with odds provided by Caesars Sportsbook.

If at first you do not succeed, then simply try again. For good reason, the lean on this end was very much on the home team in Game 1, but instead, Miami came out firing and never let up. The outcome of the game was never really in doubt as the Heat flexed their offensive muscles (generally a weakness) to the max and won by 13 points at a score of 130-117.

For a team expected to make another NBA Finals appearance, that was not ideal. Before we even get into what took place on the court, the larger story is who was not on the court. If you want to point fingers as to why the Bucks lost, while things are never that simple, Giannis Antetokounmpo only played 11 minutes after injuring his back.

The superstar did try to come back, but the pain was ultimately too much. When it comes to Tyler Herro, Miami is not as lucky as they will be without the swingman for the next four to six weeks due to a broken hand.

While Antetokounmpo is clearly the better player, Miami is in a tougher spot heading into Game 2 on Wednesday. The Heat got top-of-the-line performances from just about every player, especially Jimmy Butler with 35 points and 11 assists, and for them to head back to Miami up 2-0, lightning will truly have to strike twice.

That is not to discount what Butler is capable of, but we know the Bucks are going to come out in a much better frame of mind. The good news on Antetokounmpo is that his x-rays were negative, but it still remains up in the air whether the pain will be too much for him to handle to take the court on Wednesday.

While we will operate under the assumption that Antetokounmpo does take the court, Milwaukee will be better positioned if he does not, as it is something they will be able to plan for with Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis taking the lead.
