High school football recruiting: Northeast Florida ready for 2022 early signing

The early signing period for college football opens on Wednesday. Davaughn Patterson signed his letter of intent to join Wake Forest last Thursday. He will join a long line of local players to play for the school in Winston-Salem, N.C. His older brother Jaison is a running back in the MAC at Bowling Green. He joined his younger brother Joshua on stage Wednesday after a team-high three interceptions for Ed White. They will play football together in 2022. The signing day has become a family tradition. It's the culmination of a gridiron dream for thousands of high school athletes around the nation.

Jordan Hall, Amare Ferrell and Jaden Robinson are going to sign Wednesday morning. JaMari Whitehead is going between Georgia Southern and Western Kentucky. Running back Manny Covey is signing with Cincinnati in the afternoon. Patterson is ready to go to Wake Forest.   for the 2022 early signing period.

Jordan Hall is a four-star defensive tackle from Westside, Florida. He is considering Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Florida as college destinations.

Amare Ferrell and Jaden Robinson are both committed to Florida. They are set to sign around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

JaMari Whitehead is expected to choose between Georgia Southern and Western Kentucky.
