Horse racing: Louisiana Downs announces return of Super Derby in 2023
Louisiana Downs has postponed the return of Super Derby until 2023. The move will allow them to realize the benefit of adding revenue from the Historical Horse Racing machines, the additional Off Track Betting locations and sportsbook. They are also adding over one hundred new slot machines to the casino floor.

The horsemen support the decision. Ron Faucheux, Thoroughbred Horse trainer and LAHBPA Board Member, thinks it's the right decision for the horseman and the property.
