The Canadian Triple Crown comes to a close this Sunday at Woodbine in the $400,000 Breeders' Stakes. The 1 1/2-mile turf test drew a full field of 18, including King's Plate winner Paramount Prince, though only 14 will run.

The prestigious Breeders' Stakes goes as Race 9 on an 11-race program at the venerable Ontario oval, and post time is estimated for 5:42 p.m. ET.

Odds as of September 29, 2023.

No. 11 Touch'n Ride (6-1) did not have much luck in the King's Plate when last seen, getting jostled around early while racing wide. Still, he finished with interest in just his third lifetime start to go from as far back as 12th to fifth on the wire.

Touch'n Ride was third in his lone prior turf start but drilled a five-furlong bullet on the surface ahead of the Breeders' Stakes, so the switch from synthetic dirt shouldn't pose an issue. The son of Candy Ride also gets a huge jockey upgrade to arguably the best regular rider on the circuit in Kazushi Kimura. Look for Touch'n Ride to be rolling late.

No. 12 Elysian Field (5-2) was a solid second while chasing a gate-to-wire winner in Paramount Prince in the King's Plate last time out. Her prior turf form is nothing to brag about, but this daughter of Hard Spun has improved gradually this year under the care of Canadian training giant Mark Casse. The Woodbine Oaks winner looks like she will relish stretching out to 12 furlongs in the Breeders' Stakes.

No. 6 Tito's Calling (10-1) took the 10-furlong Wonder Where Stakes on the lawn by open lengths to prep for this, and she closed into a dawdling pace to do it. She's clearly figured something out after running second in the Bison City Stakes two-back, as her prior form had been unbecoming of a Breeders' Stakes contender.
