Horse racing predictions: Bangor, Bellewstown and Kempton

There are six race meetings across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. Willie Mullins and Frankie Dettori are team captains at the inaugural Barney Curley Charity Cup at Bellewstown. The action begins at Nottingham (1.00-4.30 pm) and ends at Newcastle (5.45-8.15 pm). National Hunt racing comes from Bangor ( 1.55-5:16).

Bettie's Belle is a promising hurdler. She won on her debut at Warwick last September and finished fourth at Southwell in April. The stable is in good form and Luca Morgan took 3lb off her weight. Peerless Beauty and Famous Function for Fergal O'Brien and Donald McCain are expected to be the key threat.

Frankie Dettori and Willie Mullins captain teams competing for the inaugural Barney Curley Charity Cup in two handicap races on Wednesday’s card. Dittori has Jamie Spencer, Shane Kelly, Tom Queally, Seamie Heffernan, Billy Lee, Chris Hayes and Siobhan Rutledge on his side. Mullin has Rachael Blackmore, Colin Keane, Wayne Lordan and Declan McDonogh on the other side, Dylan McMonagle and Robert Whearty. Trainer Ado McGuinness will be hoping that his gelding Lariat can go well in the concluding race over a mile and a half.

Ribchester gelding Kyogo should be up to winning a novice race at Kempton 5.30. He was second in an Epsom maiden on his debut last month and filled the same berth a fortnight later at Brighton. Tom Marquand is booked for the race.
