The Paddy Power Gold Cup is the main event at Cheltenham's November Meeting on Saturday. The meeting also features high-quality Grade 2 trials for the Triumph Hurdle and the Arkle.

12.35pm JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle (2m ½f). Medyaf won a Listed juvenile contest at Wetherby last month from Tuddenham Green. Mr Freedom was pushed outside the running rail in that race.

Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase takes place at 1.10pm.

1.45pm Arkle Challenge Trophy Trial Novices’ Chase (Grade 2, 2m). Paul Nicholls has high hopes for Monmiral. Tommy”s Oscar won a match at Carlisle last month on his chasing bow. Pentland Hills turned up for a Huntingdon contest and got a walkover. BANBRIDGE won the Martin Pipe here in March.

2.20pm Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase (Premier Handiap, 2m 4f). Stolen Silver is a good fourth in the Plate won by Coole Cody in March and won over course and distance in April. French Dynamite heads the market for Mouse Morris.

2.55pm Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle (3m). On The Blind Side needs to put a poor season behind him. Lisnagar Oscar needs a 7lb claimer on top. Paul Nicholls’ Shearer won well over track and trip against novices last month. PADLEYOUROWNCANOE is another operating from a much-reduced mark. Dan Skelton”s charge showed his best stuff last season on his reappearance.

Alan King-trained Forever William finished second in a race at Chepstow last month. He should be able to come on from that. Wiseguy, Unanswered and Elle Perfecta are also in the race.

Bonttay and Luccia have won five out of five bumper races. Oliver Sherwood’s Queens Gamble won by 10 lengths on her debut here in April. Anthony Honeyball”s big-priced newcomer Queens Fortune is a contender. Willie Mullins“s bumper runners are hard to oppose.
