How a Strabane man overcame the odds to become Jiu-Jitsu world champion
Aaron Devlin is the fourth person from Northern Ireland to win a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Masters title in the United States. He trains at the Mix Martial Arts gym Team Torresin Derry under Brazilian and Judo black-belt, Martin McLaughlin. Devlion was considering quitting MMA a decade ago, but he was convinced by his parents and trainers. He dedicates his success to his coaches and parents. They never stopped believing in him. The club where he started training wasn't that good. It was only when he took a wrestling class that he found the training he had been training at was better.
