How Mattress Mack may bet his $4 million on Kentucky Derby
Jim McIngvale is going to bet $4 million on Kentucky Derby. He will bet at least $2 million of that amount on Derby favorite Essential Quality. Anyone buying a mattress worth at atleast $3,000 before this weekend at any of his GalleryFurniture stores will get a full refund or a 150 percent in in-store credit if Essential quality wins.
McIngvale is betting $2 million on Essential Quality to win the Kentucky Derby. He owns 50 racehorses. McIng Vale is a promoter. In February he won $3.46 on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to won the Super Bowl. The money will be invested in Churchill Downs and in the future in Las Vegas. It will also be spent on exotic and multi-race wagers. He will leave the exactas and tris and superfectas to the professionals.
