How to watch LeBron James and Lakers at Knicks (1/31/23): time, TV, odds, FREE live stream

LeBron James is only 117 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.

Assuming he plays Tuesday night against the host New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, he’ll have an opportunity to close that gap even more.

TNT is carrying the game, which will start at 7:30 p.m. and be live-streamed on Sling TV and DirecTV Stream.

James missed the game Monday night at Brooklyn with left foot soreness. It was also the first of a back-to-back with tonight’s game in New York, part of a five-game road trip that began in Boston (Jan. 28) and still includes visits to Indiana (Thursday) and New Orleans (Feb. 4).

Listed as questionable, it would make sense that he suits up and take the court, especially since he hasn’t played at Madison Square Garden since January 2020. Playing tonight and scoring his average of 30 points keeps him on track to likely break Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387 points next Tuesday when the Lakers finally get back home and welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Anthony Davis is listed as probable after also sitting out Monday. He returned last week from a 20-game absence with a right foot injury. Meanwhile, James is averaging 30.2 points – to lead the team – and 8.5 rebounds. Patrick Beverley is averaging 1.6 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games for Los Angeles (23-28, 13th in the Western Conference).

Julius Randle is averaging 24.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and four assists for the Knicks. Quentin Grimes is averaging 2.3 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games for New York (27-24, seventh in the Eastern Conference).

The Knicks are a 2.5-point favorite and the over/under on the game is 237.5.
