Hug running back Connor Humphreys is a workhorse for the Hawks

Hug's football team won their first game this season. Connor Humphreys played a lot of games because of injuries. He played both on offense and on defense. The team is 3-2 overall and 1-0 in league. He hopes to go to college at Penn. His brother, Xander, is a junior on the team. Hug had a 40-game losing streak before winning their game. They had to play at the former location on Sutro Street. It was a short season at that location.Hug went 0-8 last year and 0 -4 in the shortened 2020 spring season, but they won the game against South Tahoe.

South Tahoe plays Wooster on Friday, September 30 at 3 p.m. Damonte Ranch plays Douglas, Bishop Manogue plays Galena, Spanish Springs plays Carson, Hug plays North Valleys, Sparks plays Truckee, Elko plays Fernley, Fallon plays Spring Creek, Yerington plays West Wendover, Coral Academy plays Incline, and Sierra Lutheran plays Pyramid Lake.
