In fall 2019, Indiana approved online sports wagering and sports betting for in-person casinos and facilities. Some college students are against iGaming legalization. They fear it will negatively impact students. According to the National Center for Responsible Gaming, during 2010 approximately 75% of college student had gambled either legally or illegally within the previous year. It is estimated 6% college collegestudents have a gambling problem. The National Collegiate Athletic Association has a problem gambling education program. In addition, the state should increase funding for problem gaming resources.
