Surprisingly the two teams are very close, occupying mid-table places. Internacional is 10th with 23 points, and Cuiabá is 12th with one point less. While Inter has been underperforming, Cuiabá has been surprisingly in a comfortable position in the Brasileirão. The Dourado has managed three wins and a draw in the last four games and will face Internacional with full confidence.

Internacional

In the last round, in the debut of coach Eduardo Coudet, the Colorado drew to nil away with Bragantino. The result cannot be considered negative, but it increased to four the number of consecutive matches without scoring a goal. Internacional has scored just 13 goals in 16 games, which is the 3rd worst record in the Brasileirão. Enner Valencia didn't score in his three games but came close to doing so in the last one, hitting the bar of the Bragantino goal. The next match with Cuiabá promises to be difficult, as the team from Mato Grosso do Sul has a well-organized team defensively. To complicate matters further, Inter has an important Copa Libertadores fixture with River Plate a few days later.

Cuiabá

António Oliveira took charge of the team in Round 7, and Cuiabá transformed itself. In ten matches under the Portuguese leadership, the Dourado has won five, drawn three, and lost two. It's a pretty high score for a club considered one of the main relegation candidates at the start of the season. Cuiabá's success comes from its strong organization and team spirit. The team defends very well, is hard-working, and has a very dangerous striker, Deyverson. Only Brasileirão leader Botafogo has a better away record than Cuiabá. Recently the team has also improved its performance at home. In the last round, the Auriverde beat São Paulo at the Arena Pantanal. The confidence of the players is quite high at the moment.

Expert Betting Tips

Considering the numbers of both teams, this should be a low-scoring game. A bet on total goals below 2.5 has a low odd, so I will add a Double Chance with Inter winning or drawing. Despite some scoring inefficiency, Inter has only lost once at home.
