International football betting offer: Bet £10 and get £40 in free accas with Sky Bet

The latest round of international fixtures is now upon us for the final two rounds of Euro 2024 qualifiers, as well as some South American World Cup qualifiers and some intriguing-looking friendlies.

The final international break of 2023 brings about some huge matches, particularly in Europe with the qualifiers for Euro 2024 in Germany next summer culminating next week with several places in the finals still to be decided.

Nine teams, including both England and Scotland, have already booked their places in net summer's finals, meaning there are still 12 automatic places left to be fought for, while there are also 11 play-off spots for the final three places in Euro 2024 to be decided.

In South America, World Cup qualifying has already begun for the 2026 tournament, with each nation having played four matches so far and current champions Argentina being the only team to have won all four, opening a five point lead at the top of the group.

Each nation will play two more qualifiers across the next week or so, as they aim to achieve a top six finish in the group to gain automatic qualification.

As far as the home nations are concerned, England and Scotland have both booked their place in Euro 2024 with two matches to spare, but will be eager to win their final matches in order to guarantee as good a seeding as possible when it comes to the draw for the finals.

England are three points clear at the top of Group B with a game in hand and their last two fixtures of the campaign are against the bottom two sides, firstly at home against Malta before they play away in North Macedonia on Monday night.

Scotland head into the final two qualifiers second in Group A only on goal difference behind Spain, and will be hoping wins away in Georgia and at home against Norway will be enough give them a first place finish.

Ireland have lost five of their seven qualifiers this campaign and have no chance of qualifying automatically for the Euros but do still have a small chance of reaching the play-offs should other results around the continent go their way.

Stephen Kenny's side's final qualifier is away in the Netherlands before they welcome New Zealand to the Aviva Stadium for a friendly next Tuesday night.

Wales have put themselves in a fantastic position to reach a fourth major tournament in eight years and now that winning both of their final matches, away at Armenia and at home against Turkey would guarantee their place in Germany next season.

Northern Ireland have lost six of their eight qualifiers so far and are unable to qualify for the Euros either automatically or via the play-offs, and will end their campaign within an away game in Finland before signing off at home against Denmark.
