Seven more college football players in Iowa have been charged in an ongoing sports betting investigation.

According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, four more Iowa State players and three from Iowa face the charge of tampering with records for allegedly concealing their identity in electronic wagering activities.

The group includes Iowa State starting running back Jirehl Brock and three teammates with starting experience including offensive tackle Jake Remsburg, defensive tackle Isaiah Lee and tight end DeShawn Hanika, according to ESPN.

A former Iowa player, safety Reggie Bracy who now plays for Troy, is accused of making 66 wagers while underage including bets for two games he played in: Michigan and South Dakota State.

Bracy “saw action” in both those 2022 games, according to Iowa’s website.

Former Iowa wide receiver Arland Bruce IV is also accused of placing 11 wagers on DraftKings in games in which he participated in 2021, and eight wagers on Iowa games in 2022, according to ESPN.

Iowa wide receiver Jack Johnson is also accused in the investigation.

“Since becoming aware of potential NCAA eligibility issues related to sports wagering by several of our student-athletes back in May, Iowa State University has been actively working to address these issues with the involved student-athletes, and that process remains ongoing,” Iowa State said in a statement.

“We will continue to support our student-athletes as our compliance staff works with the NCAA to sort out questions surrounding their future eligibility for athletics competition.”

The new charges come a week after several Iowa State players, including starting quarterback Hunter Dekkers, were charged in the betting scandal.
