Ireland's O'Brien running horses at Kentucky Downs

Joseph O'Brien's horses arrived from Ireland on Tuesday. Stay Lost will run in Thursday's 7th race for 2-year-old filly maidens at Kentucky Downs. Mahony Stakes runner-up Cadamosto needs three scratches to run at the Franklin-Simpson Stake on Saturday. Reckoning Force got into a race on closing day. The $500,000 Kentucky Down Juvenile Mile was rescheduled after the previous one was cancelled. The final tiebreaker for horses trying to get into the race is turf earnings. Europe's smaller purses work against those horses.

FanDuel Meet's closing day is next Wednesday, Sept. 14. There are three stakes on the card. The $500,000 Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile attracted 10 horses. The new $400,00 Gun Runner Stakes for 3-year-olds at a mile attracted a capacity field of 12. One Dreamer for fillies and mares that haven't won a stakes in 2022 attracted an overflow of 13 entries. Justify My Love makes her first start of 2022. Bill Mott entered allowance winners Poca Mucha and Petricor.
