Jake Paul presents Tommy Fury with contract for double-or-nothing fight bet

The stakes have never been higher for Jake Paul nor his opponent, Tommy Fury, after the pair shook on a double-or-nothing wager in the build-up to Sunday's boxing bout.

Millions were already on the line for both fighters in Saudi Arabia, but the ante appears to have been upped considerably in the wake of their last-minute bet. With barely 24 hours to go before the duo rumble in Riyadh, Paul presented a contract that would see the winner take his opponent's prize money while the loser walks away with nothing.

The deal was first put on the table during the final press conference, with 23-year-old Fury urged to agree by his father, John. 'The Problem Child' and 'TNT' later met in a more intimate setting in a video , where the pair exchanged verbal punches for close to 30 minutes.

"Bring out the contract, lawyers already drafted it up this week," proclaimed favourite Paul. "And like I said, if I can reiterate; if I win, I take all the money you're being paid. If you win, I double it up."

There was some hesitation on Fury's side to sign the deal in front of cameras, an understandable consideration given he hadn't even glanced over the paperwork. However, the eldest member of the Fury family stepped in to assure Paul the deal would be done.

"You've got my word as the head of the Fury clan, he will definitely sign that," said an interfering John, apparently to the chagrin of a bemused Paul. "You've got my word on that."

Agreeing the new clause could bank Fury close to £10million if estimates over his earning are proved to be accurate. SportsZion reported TNT is guaranteed $2m (£1.7m) just for showing up, but he's also set to rake in more than double that with a 35 percent share of pay-per-view buys, plus a $1m (£840,000) performance bonus for the win.

Paul, 26, is guaranteed $3.2m (£2.7m) and will earn almost double the PPV revenue with 65 per cent of the purchase profits. However, it remains unclear as to whether the gambit is a go following Paul's latest update.

"As you guys saw the bet yesterday on-stage; Tommy agreed to it [and] shook my hand on stage, his dad said they were agreed to it," said the American on . "So I signed the contract right in front of them, we send it over to their lawyers, and just as a I thought, they have gone silent as a mouse for the last 24 hours.

"They do not want to sign the contract, and it just goes to show that they have this false confidence. Put your money where your mouth is. You shook on it like a man, and now you guys haven't signed the actual contract to make the deal official."

Fury has already said he'll retire from boxing if he fails to win on Sunday, suggesting he doesn't have much of a future in the sport if he can't beat former Disney actor Paul. With his athletic future already on the line, it may be that the Mancunian doesn't fancy the additional risk of leaving Saudi Arabia empty-handed.
