Jalen Brunson's garbage time buckets cash $10K parlay

Jalen Brunson came in clutch for one sports gambler during Thursday night’s NBA action.

A FanDuel Sportsbook bettor placed a bold parlay on Knicks-Mavericks, calling for a big offensive game for four different players in the contest.

The parlay included Kyrie Irving scoring 40+ points, Tim Hardaway Jr. making 6+ three-pointers, Julius Randle making 2+ threes and Brunson scoring 30+ points.

Irving, Hardaway Jr., and Randle all came through with several minutes left in the game.

But with 11.1 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, the Knicks star point guard was still four points short of the 30-point threshold.

That’s when Brunson decided to do what was perhaps a bit of stat padding.

Down by six, Brunson rushed up the court to shoot a short floater, trying to draw a foul in the process.

With no foul call, the shot brought the Knicks within four.

Donte DiVincenzo would foul Hardaway Jr. with four seconds left, sending him to the lie for two free throws, which would put the Mavericks back up by six – effectively ending the game.

But Brunson — sitting at 28 points — wanted to get one more shot off.

Brunson raced up the court in a flash, pouring in a layup as time expired to hit the big 3-0 with his fourth point in just over ten seconds, cashing the FanDuel bettor’s massive parlay.

The odds on the parlay were more than 200/1, coming in at +20970, or an implied probability of about 0.47.

The bettor won an incredible $10,535.24 off a single $50 gamble.
