Jazz forward Rudy Gay on NBA trade block
Utah Jazz forward Rudy Gay is now on the NBA trade block. He is averaging career lows of 15.8 minutes per game, 36.2% shooting from the floor and 26.5% from beyond the arc this season. According to some NBA betting sites, the Jazz have the 11th-lowest odds to win the championship in 2023.
Jazz are interested in trading Rudy Gay for John Collins. Collins is a contractually obligated player. Rudy Conley is injured and will miss the next two weeks. Lauri Markkanen was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Jazz for Donovan Mitchell in September. Atlanta approached the Utah Jazz about trading Collins for Markkenen. The chances of that happening are low. John Conleys is averaging 10.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
