He thinks the players who have signed have done well compared to industry expectations. JP doesn't expect Aaron Judge or Trea Turner to get paid. It's not a completely free market. Some teams don't participate in free agency. Last winter Carlos Correa went in thinking he was gonna get $300 million and now he's back on the market right now. There are some restrictions on qualifying offers. The market makes what you get payed. If teams are interested in you, you're gonna do well.
