Ostapenko has steadily found her feet as the tournament progressed, which could spell bad news for her final opponent, Ekaterina Alexnadrova.

While Ostapenko cruised into the final on Saturday, Ekaterina Alexandrova needed three hours and six minutes to win the battle of the big hitters, beating Croaita's Donna Vekic 5-7, 7-6, 7-6. The Russian erased deficits in the second and third sets in a match that quickly threatened to slip away. It was her sixth win of the season, and she is seeking her first title of the campaign when she faces 2019 finalist Ostapenko.
