Jun Light Bolt Upstages Former U.S. Classic Starter Crown Pride In Japan’s Champions Cup
Jun Light Bolt won the $2,254,000 Champions Cup at Chukyo Racecourse in Japan. It was his first Grade 1 win in his only fourth dirt start. Crown Pride finished second, followed by Hapi and T O Keynes. The winner was overtaken by the winner in the last 100 meters. The race covered about 1 1/8 miles in 1:51.9 on a track rated as standard.
