The Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals meet in an AL Central division matchup in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday.

The Chicago White Sox will be out to build on their split with the Royals after losing game one on Tuesday by a final score of 4-2 before rebounding with a 3-2 win in the second half of the double-header. Jose Abreu has 14 home runs, along with 55 RBIs, 119 hits and 27 doubles while Luis Robert has a .300 batting average with 94 hits, 12 home runs and 54 RBIs and Andrew Vaughn has 50 RBIs, a .296 batting average and 20 doubles this season. A.J. Pollock’s also added 35 RBIs and 16 doubles on the year for Chicago while Tim Anderson has 100hits and a .305 batting average. Johnny Cueto will start here and is 4-5 with a 2.91 ERA and 64 strikeouts this season.

The Kansas City Royals will look to rebound and get some revenge after falling short of the sweep in Tuesday’s double dip. Salvador Perez has 16 home runs and 48 RBIs as well as 14 doubles and Hunter Dozier has 21 doubles as well as 3 triples and Bobby Witt Jr. has 19 doubles as well on the year. Witt Jr. also has a team-high 5 triples with 15 home runs and 56 RBIs as well this season. Kris Bubic will start here and is 2-6 with a 5.27 ERA and 67 strikeouts this season.

Chicago is 7-15 in their last 22 road games against a team with a left-handed starter and 4-1 in their last 5 division games while the under is 5-0-2 in their last 7 game three matchups. Kansas City is 16-35 in their last 51 games against a team with a winning record and 61-128 in their last 189 game three matchups while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing KC at home as an underdog in this one as that could be where some value lies, but the White Sox are still the league’s best in terms of hitting against lefties on the road and the White Sox, like starting pitcher Johnny Cueto, play better on the road as it is this season. I just don’t think I’m getting enough plus money to back Kris Bubic and the Royals here, so give me Chicago in this one.
