Kentucky Derby 2022: Start time, horses, channel, how to watch and stream

The Kentucky Derby is taking place on Saturday. Zandon is the odds-on favorite. There will be no attendance cap at Churchill Downs. Mike Tirico will handle hosting duties for the sixth straight year. Larry Collmus will call the race. Steve Kornacki will track the changing odds throughout the day. Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale plans to bet $2 to $3 million on the event.  

The 2020 Kentucky Derby will be broadcast on NBC at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. It will also be streamed on the NBC Sports App and Peacock. The winner of last year's Kentucky derby was Mandaloun, but the horse was disqualified for testing positive for betamethasone. This year the Triple Crown's big three races are in their usual sequence. The Kentucky Derby takes place on Saturday, May 7 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. USA Network will broadcast the race at noon Eastern, with a pre-race show at 12:00 p., followed by the broadcast.
