Kentucky Derby draw 2023: Watch full replay for post positions

The year's most highly-touted race at Churchill Downs will kick off with the post-position draw for the 2023 Kentucky Derby on Monday in the Aristides Lounge at Churchill Downs. 

The draw will be streamed live on The Courier Journal’s website and televised on WAVE-TV beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Last year's winner, Rich Strike, received the 20th post position and was only the second Derby winner to run out of the starting gate from the spot.

Following the draw, morning-line odds will be announced by Mike Battaglia. He has correctly predicted the Derby favorite 38 times in 49 opportunities (77.6%) since becoming Churchill Downs' morning-line oddsmaker in 1974.
