King George: 'King of Ascot' Sir Michael Stoute chases historic sixth win
Sir Michael Stoute is chasing a record-equalling sixth King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot. Crystal Ocean, aged four, and Poet's Word, a five-year-old, are the favourites. Stout is the most successful trainer at the fixture over the years. He has won 75 races at Royal Ascott. He started in 1972 and has included wins in 15 British Classics and the champion's title 10 times. His last two horses won the Hardwicke Stake and Prince of Wales' Staking. They were trained by Cracksman.
