Betting Odds: Charlotte Hornets +7.5 -- Over/Under: 234.5

The Sacramento Kings pay a visit to the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center on Wednesday night. Here's a Kings vs Hornets prediction.

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the Pistons in a 131-110 road win last night. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 37 points, 13 rebounds and three assists on 16 of 21 shooting, Keegan Murrary added 32 points on 13 of 17 shooting while De’Aaron Fox provided 26 points on 10 of 19 shooting. As a team, the Kings shot a healthy 57 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and fell behind by 20 points early, but they dominated the second and fourth quarters by a combined 72-33 to make it look easy in the end.

  • Domantas Sabonis ranks 1st amongst qualified players for rebounds per game (12.8) this season.
  • De'Aaron Fox ranks 6th amongst qualified players for points per game (28.2) this season.

Charlotte Hornets

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been ice-cold lately as they’ve lost 13 of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting beaten by the Bulls in a 119-112 overtime loss on Monday. Terry Rozier led the team with 39 points and eight assists, Miles Bridges added 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Nick Smith Jr chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot just 42 percent from the field and 17 of 42 from the 3-point line as they erased an eight-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime where they scored just five points to allow the Bulls off the hook in a disappointing finish.

  • Terry Rozier ranks 10th in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for FT% (87.5%) this season.
  • Miles Bridges ranks 22nd in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for FT% (84.4%) this season.

  • The Hornets rank 30th in the league for opponent three-point percentage this season (39.5%).
  • The Hornets rank 30th in the league for free throws made per game this season (15.2).
  • The Kings rank 30th in the league for free throw percentage this season (72.9%).
  • The Kings rank 2nd in the league for three-point field goals made per game this season (15.2).

Kings vs Hornets prediction

The Kings have been in pretty good shape recently and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from last night’s comeback win over the Pistons where they erased a 20-point deficit with ease, while the Hornets have continued their downward spiral and are coming into this one fresh off a painful overtime loss to the Bulls. The Kings are playing their second game of a back to back set, but they’re running into the Hornets who have been one of the coldest teams in the league. The line is a bit hefty, but I still think the Kings are good enough to stay hot with another win and cover on the road.
