Villareal defeated Valencia 2-1 thanks to a header from substitute defender Juan Foyth in the 88th minute. Villareals and Real Madrid advanced to the round of 16 in Copa Del Rey this week. Karim Benzema made his first La Liga appearance since October on Friday. Real defeated Real Valladolid 2 -0. Thibaut Courtois and Dani Carvajal are injured. Gio Lo Celso and Francis Coquelin are also injured for Villarreal.
Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are playing each other in La Liga Matchday 16. Atletico is currently in fourth place in the league, while Barcelona is in first place. Robert Lewandowski is allowed to play for Barcelona, but his status is pending.
