Larry Bird, Celtics counted among 20 craziest NBA Finals plays
The Boston Celtics have won an NBA-record 17 banners over the course of their nearly eight decades of existence, and they have had to pull off the seemingly impossible a handful of times to do it.
That means its a safe bet at least one play from a Celtics player would make it onto a list of the top plays in NBA Finals history. The folks behind the Hoops Flix YouTube channel compiled their greatest such moments.
In fact, the play in question is a last-second redux of a rare broken shot from the “Hick From French Lick,” as Boston legend Larry Bird was sometimes known.
