LATAM SI 2023 Closed Qualifier Preview: LOS oNe and FURIA favourites to earn final LATAM SI 2023 spot
The first of the six Six Invitational 2023 Closed Qualifiers will take place in Brazil this weekend. Eight teams will be playing in the Max Arena, located in Sao Paulo, for the last LATAM spot.
The LATAM SI 2023 Closed Qualifier will follow a single-elimination bracket format. Teams will face off in BO3 games, including the grand-final.
FURIA will play against Team Cruelty in the first round of the tournament. LOS oNe will take on debutant Maycam Evolve. ESTORM will face Furious Gaming. Six Karma will be playing Magic Squad.

FURIA are the favorites to win the qualifier for the first of the two Six Majors of 2022 season. They finished in fourth place of Brasileirão after overtaking FaZe Clan on the final game day of season 3. Diogo "Fnzty" Lima was last season's rookie of year. Thiago "Handy" Ferreira has impressed everyone in his rookie season, peaking throughout Stage 3 with seven clutches and a SiegeGG Rating of 1.21.
Team oNe won the Brazil Open Qualifier and qualified for the Six Charlotte Major. They finished third in the Brasileirão overall standings. Los o Ne will play in LATAM SI 2023 Closed Qualifiers. Lagonis accepted Liquid's offer to join them.
Magic Squad won Brazil's Challenger League and were invited to the Closed Qualifier. Victor Augusto left Magic Squad earlier this week and will join FaZe Clan. LOS oNe and FURIA are favourites to earn the final LATAM SI 2023 spot.
Six Karma finished last in the first Copa Elite Six of 2022. They won the Campeonato Mexicano, but lost in Mexico finals in 2-3 fashion.
Team Cruelty finished in third place of the Campeonato Mexicano overall standings. They defeated OverKnight thrice and Reven Esports once. Oscar "Toski" Sepúlveda and Rodrigo "Rovi" Quiroz joined Team Cruely in November.
ESTORM have been playing in Mexico's Challenger League for the past three months. They won the third stage of the Supercopa LATAM Norte and the Série B.
Furious Gaming are the current champions of South America. They have won several matches this season. Furious Gaming will travel to Brazil for the final qualifier of the LATAM SI 2023 tournament.
Maycam Evolve are the last team to qualify for the LATAM SI 2023 closed qualifier. They lost to Leviatán 1-7 but won against OXEN 2-0. The final match takes place on January 13 at 10 AM BRT (UTC-3).
