There were some confusion and confusion regarding Thursday's early Pick 5 at Saratoga. The third race was moved to the main track and was run at one mile. Al's Prince, the fourth wagering choice, won the race. 30 minutes later, NYRA announced the third leg was an all-out race, so all tickets had the winner. The old days, when all bets were made on paper tickets, there were many stokers. Now, with most people wager on their phones, fewer paper ones are discarded.

The early Pick 5 paid $328 and handled $913,846. The third race was made an "all" race because the announcement to make it an early P5 was delayed. Many players were upset with the timing of the change.
