“Let’s Bet That”: Bill Belichick’s Influence Pits Former Boston Celtics Stars Against Each Other

NBA legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce bet against each other over NFL teams! The present season is full of surprises and excitement. In a recent interview mediated by Tony Squares, the two former Boston Celtics players had a debate about their preferred teams. The conversation got a bit heated when they couldn’t pick which AFC East teams would make it to the playoffs.

On 8 September 2023, the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Detroit Lions by 21-20. The result came as a surprise since the Chiefs were the fan favorites to take the win. The rest of the season will be full of unpredictable outcomes, starting with this match. Thus, there’s no telling what might happen in this season.

Kevin Garnett v/s Paul Pierce for the NFL playoffs

Both players can be seen talking about the AFC East division in the NFL. They reach a disagreement when it comes to the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, aka, Pats. They argued about who the better team out of the two is and in an instant Paul came out and said, “Let’s bet that“, placing a bet on the Pats for the season against the Miami Dolphins. Kevin and Paul placed the wager as a meal at  “Mastro’s”, a famous restaurant.

Paul made an excellent point by referring to Bill Belichick, the head coach for the New England Patriots. Currently, in his 24th season for the Pats, he is often regarded as the greatest pro football coach in history. Paul also mentioned the new acquisition of Ezekiel Elliot as the team’s running back. “I’m rolling with my heart on this one,” says Paul when Kevin argues that the numbers should be looked at rather than faith and sentiments.

Dolphins or the Patriots: The better team?

The Dolphins–Patriots rivalry is an American football rivalry between the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. The Dolphins lead the all-time series with 60–55. Because both teams are members of the AFC East division, the two teams have been scheduled to play twice (home and away) every regular season since 1967.
