Levante vs Deportivo Alaves Predictions, Tips & Match Preview

Levante vs Deportivo Alaves
Spanish Segunda Division
Date: 17 June 2023, Saturday
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Ciudad de Valencia (Valencia).

Levante host Alaves in the last football action of the entire season in the second tier of Spanish football on Saturday evening as the two teams take on each other in the second leg of the promotional playoffs final.

The first game was played six days ago in north as we did not see goals in a stalemate. It was a good result for Levante who successfully kept hold of Alaves’ key figures in the center of the park last weekend.

Levante were generally the more dangerous of the two outfits on Sunday. They have limited the rivals to just two attempts on target in the 90 minutes of play at Estadio de Mendizorroza.

Javi Calleja’s men thus continued their extraordinary form and they will go into this tie in higher spirits after a streak of six subsequent unbeaten outings.

Levante have won four of the last five matches in the league, being especially impressive in the 6-1 aggregate win over Albacete in the playoffs semifinal.

Alaves are undefeated in seven subsequent outings but their attacking output has been significantly worse than that of Levante’s of late.

Luis Garcia’s troops rely much more on rock-solid defense. They have allowed only one goal in the previous four league affairs. Can they keep things quiet at the back at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia?

Levante vs Deportivo Alaves Head-to-head

  • Alaves lead the head to head tie by seven wins going into the 24th encounter with Levante.
  • Levante, however, claimed two separate 2-0 victories over Babazorros in the regular season of Segunda Division.
  • None of the last three head to head ties between these rivals saw goals at both ends.

Levante vs Deportivo Alaves Prediction

Levante left a much better impression in most recent weeks. They stormed past Albacete via two commanding wins and they also looked better in the first leg of this matchup six days ago in Vitoria-Gazteiz.

The home win is thus well worth backing at the odds of 2.25. We will alternatively back Levante to keep a clean sheet at the 2.50 odds knowing they have limited the counterparts to just two shots on target in the reverse outing played last Sunday at Estadio de Mendizorroza.

  • Levante to win @ 2.25 (5/4)
  • Levante to keep a clean sheet @ 2.50 (6/4) odd.
