We’ve already seen clubs like Al Nassr roll out the red carpet for Cristiano Ronaldo and give him an absurd amount of money to play for the club, the same could definitely happen with Messi.

The papers are saying that he has been offered a £320m-a-year move to Saudi Arabia and they are probably the league that is going to be offering him a sum that big.

The club is yet to be known but the general consensus is that the majority of Saudi teams have a huge amount of money behind them, this is why the bookmakers are pricing up any Saudi Club.

It’d be a shame for a lot of football fans to see Messi leave Europe but the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry could carry on abroad!

Manchester City are probably the best team in the world at the moment.

It’s hard to argue against that and if they add Messi onto the wing with Haaland in the middle, it’s going to be a tough time for other clubs if they plan on competing against them.

Messi has relished playing under Pep Guardiola and the feelings between them are mutual with the City boss always being full of praise for the Argentinian.

Pep has said in the past they can’t afford players like that and whilst he might be telling a lie there, it seems as though City aren’t very interested in signing Messi.

He’s 16/1 to sign for them for a reason and whilst the links are there, I can’t see him making the move to the Premier League

There’s always the option of him staying at PSG which is quite a hefty price at 9/2. He is still under contract at the French club and if anyone wanted to sign him, PSG could ask for a very big price.

Clubs may be reluctant to pay a huge fee for the 35-year-old but if Messi can manage to force his way out, expect Barcelona to be right in there. Messi has still had a successful time at PSG and is still starting the vast majority of games in France.

This whole saga has started with his recent suspension from the club, but that could just be them proving they won’t be messed around by one player.

His future was in doubt before this but not to this extent, it’s clear he doesn’t enjoy France as much as Spain but playing next to Mbappe and Neymar and winning a trophy or two every season isn’t hard work for Messi.

There’s every chance he stays at the club given the finances behind the deal and 9/2 could be worth a look at for him to stay.
