Liverpool vs West Ham United simulated on EA FC 24 to get a Premier League score prediction

Liverpool can make it five Premier League wins in a row on Sunday when the Reds welcome West Ham United to Anfield.

Goals from Darwin Núñez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz handed Liverpool a 3-1 win over LASK in its Europa League opener on Thursday night, keeping up the Reds' impressive form to begin the new season. A 3-1 win over Wolves last weekend briefly sent the Reds to the top of the Premier League table, and Jürgen Klopp will be hoping his side can impress again this weekend.

West Ham are next up for Liverpool, with the Hammers having started the season well, sitting sixth with 10 points from five games. The Reds have won their last three meetings with David Moyes' side, the most recent a 2-1 victory in east London.

So, can Liverpool keep up their impressive form? Let's take a look...

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that the Reds could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Alisson; Gomez, , Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones; Salah, Núñez, Díaz.

We predict that West Ham could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Ward-Prowse, Souček; Bowen, Kudus, Paquetá; Antonio.

Liverpool dominated the first half at Anfield as Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones all came close, but the best chance of the half fell to West Ham when Lucas Paquetá forced Alisson into a fantastic save just before the break. After their strong end to the half, West Ham were on top after the restart, but the Hammers were caught on the break in the 61st minute as Liverpool broke the deadlock.

Dominik Szoboszlai picked up the ball deep in his own half, and with West Ham playing a high line, the Hungarian was able to pick out the run of Díaz with a perfectly weighted through ball. Díaz latched onto the pass to surge through on goal, and he made no mistake with the finish, burying his effort into the bottom corner.

West Ham enjoyed a period of possession towards the end of the game as they searched for an equalizer, and they should've made it 1-1 in the 84th minute when Mohammed Kudus got it all wrong and headed an effort over the bar from six yards out. The Hammers were made to pay for their missed chances though, with Liverpool grabbing a second late on to secure the three points.

On for Núñez, Cody Gakpo had caused issues with his movement for the West Ham back line, and some tidy footwork saw the Dutchman skip past two challenges to open up a sight of goal. From just inside the box, Gakpo rifled his shot past the 'keeper to claim a brilliant solo goal and a win for his side.
