Longtime St. Pete staple Ferg’s celebrates 30th anniversary

Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill in St. Pete is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Wednesday, November 23. Mark Ferguson opened the bar in 1992 in a converted gas station. The sports bar has grown into a sprawling complex with more than a dozen bars, a dog park, axe throwing, and daily crowds sometimes in excess of 30,000. CNN once named Ferg’s as one of the country's 101 best sports bars. Tampa Bay Rays play at Tropicana Field. The bar is home to many pieces of St Pete and Tampa bay history. FERG's was a teacher in Pinellas County schools.
