Louisville Cardinals football odds and how to bet them online in Kentucky

Online sports betting is officially live in Kentucky. Now that you can wager right from your couch, take a look at the odds for Louisville Cardinals football, including their upcoming matchup against NC State, season outlook and the best ways to bet on them.

There are multiple sportsbooks already live and running in the Bluegrass State that offer valuable sign-up bonuses, and you can claim as many of the best Kentucky sports betting promos as you would like.

Louisville Cardinals vs. NC State Wolfpack CFB Week 5 betting line: Spread, moneyline, total

The Cardinals are looking to start the season 5-0, and put the voters on notice for an official ranking. To do so, they’ll have to go on the road and defeat a tough NC State team.

Louisville is a 3.5-point favorites at most Kentucky sportsbooks, which means this one is expected to be tight. However, Louisville’s offense is coming off an explosive outing and could be headed for a big day. That makes the spread an interesting wager to look at. If you take the Cardinals to cover, they will have to win the game by at least four points.

The moneyline leans pretty heavily in the Cardinals’ favor, so it may not be the best option to consider. Caesars has them listed at -180, meaning it would take $180 to win $100. That’s pretty risky in a game that is expected to be as tight as this one.

The total for the game is listed at 55 – meaning the oddsmakers believe this one will be a high-scoring affair. You can wager the over or under on this line for a value of -110, meaning bet $110 to win $100. This is one of the most popular lines because of the consistency of the value. Neither team is a defensive juggernaut, and the Cardinals have put up 56 points twice already this season. That’s a pretty solid reason to be cautious about taking the under on this line.

Futures odds on Louisville football to win the ACC

In addition to game-to-game odds, you can also place wagers on how the Cardinals’ season will end up. One of the options includes their chance to win the ACC. Currently, Louisville has the fifth-best odds (+1000 on FanDuel) to win the conference, falling just behind the four-ranked teams in the ACC – Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, and Duke.

Although it’s a long shot, plus-money odds of +1000 makes even a small wager worth considering, especially given the limitations of the teams ahead of the Cardinals on the odds list. Florida State narrowly escaped much lesser opponents in back-to-back games, UNC’s starting QB Drake Maye has an interception problem, and Duke’s passing attack is extremely limited. There is a possibility Louisville can compete for the division thanks to its offense, and if it somehow pulls it off, a $100 wager would win you $1,000.

Louisville Cardinals season win total odds

Another solid future wager option for the Cardinals is to wager on their season win totals. Caesars has them listed at 8.5. The over is -120 and the under is -110. As of now, they are slightly favored to win nine games. They are 4-0 on the season and should be the favorite in four of their remaining eight games. That leaves just one upset needed from the remaining games they are likely not the favorite against – Duke, Miami, Kentucky, and Notre Dame – to cover the over.

Duke and Kentucky are both more than winnable games for the Cardinals although they may not be the favorite in the matchup. However, the odds for the over/under on their season win total provide good value. It’s important to note the odds fluctuate during the course of the season, so if you like the value of these lines, it’s best to lock in your wagers now rather than later.

The betting suggestions listed above are just a few of the options available on the top sports betting apps, so be sure to shop around on multiple for additional wager types and the best value for each.
