LSU-Alabama and Saints-Bears review: Watch Bayou Bets

We’re at halftime of the New Orleans Saints’ season, and they are just one week away from their bye. Will they go into it at 6-4 or 5-5? Either way, they will be in first place in the NFC South at the break. Still, though, there seem to be way more doubters than believers, and we ask: “Is the glass half full or half empty when it comes to the Black and Gold?”

Also, since we’re in the mood to ask questions, we pose: “Should we have seen this coming for LSU?” Spencer “The Guru” Urquhart had his concerns all of last week, but Jim Derry and Gabe Henderson were all over the Tigers. Spencer was right. The defense had more holes in it than a putting green, while we likely saw Jayden Daniels’ dream of winning a Heisman Trophy come to an end.

This is what the Bet.NOLA.com crew spent much of their afternoon talking about on Monday’s “Bayou Bets,” and they added in a little Tulane with a Monday Night Football preview, along with a final rant from Jim on the Cubs dismissing Manager David Ross to bring in Craig Counsell. What’s up with that?

“Bayou Bets” is sponsored by Caesars Sportsbook, official odds partner of The Times-Picayune and The Advocate and airs live at 4 p.m. every Monday and Thursday on the Bayou Bets YouTube channel (among other NOLA.com social media channels) and can be viewed on demand there anytime.
