LSU Football: Garrett Nussmeier cracks FanDuel pre-spring Heisman odds

The Jayden Daniels era is over at LSU and the quarterback went out with a bang as he won the Heisman Trophy during his final season on the Bayou. Now, it’s time to turn the page to Garrett Nussmeier’s chapter.

Nussmeier performed well in the bowl game as he led LSU to a 35-31 win over the Wisconsin Badgers. He finished the game 31-for-45 with 395 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He pioneered a 98-yard touchdown drive at the end of the game to put LSU in the lead.

After the hype from that game, Nussmeier now finds himself as one of the top 10 players on the FanDuel Heisman watch list. Nussmeier is tied for seventh on the list with +1800 odds to win the Heisman Trophy next fall. He finds himself behind six other quarterbacks on the list (four of them are from the SEC).

Nussmeier has the talent to win the trophy next year. Hopefully, he will win that and a national championship.
