Major festive season success for Mullins and O'Brien
Willie Mullins saddled 16 winners after Christmas, of which five were Grade 1's. Leopardstown and Limerick were the most successful.
Willie Mullins had 73 runners and 16 winners in the last four days after Christmas. The Closutton stable had five Grade 1's and 14 runners finishing second. Real Steel won the Paddy Power Steeplechase at Leopardstown. The stable also had 6 winners on Day 2 at Limerick. There are upcoming races at Gowran Park, Dublin Racing Festival and Cheltenham Festival. It is a warning to Gordon Elliott, Henry De Bromhead and others. They are coming into view in next few weeks. A couple of talented youngsters will be something to watch over the spring.
