Maple Leafs vs. Bruins prop bets: Bet on Marner and Pastrnak to record a point

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins wrap up their season series tonight at TD Garden.

The pregame narrative: Mitchell Marner and David Pastrnak have been the key drivers of their respective team’s offences this season. We’re backing each of them to record a point in a parlay and are expecting Pastrnak to score, too.

NHL odds as of 11:45 a.m. on 04/06/2023.

Maple Leafs vs. Bruins prop bets

Best Bet: Marner and Pastrnak 1+ points each (-124)

We’re backing each team’s leading point-getter to find the stat sheet tonight.

Pastrnak has been on fire all season long. His 103 points are 40 more than the next closest player on the Bruins (Brad Marchand, 63) and eight of those have come in Boston’s last five games. He’s notched a point in each of those contests and has registered a point in 62 of 77 games played (80.5%).

He’s played Toronto three times this season and picked up a point in two of those games.

Marner is in a bit of a slump by his standards, having been held scoreless in each of his last two outings. But that shouldn’t last long. Toronto’s superstar winger had points in five of his six games prior to this “drought.”

He’s also been dominant against the Bruins this season, picking up points in each of Toronto’s three games against Boston with five total tallies (one goal, four assists).

Key stat: Marner and Pastrnak have a combined 198 points in 153 games.

Quick picks

Pastrnak to score (-106): Pastrnak would probably win the Hart Trophy this season if Connor McDavid didn’t exist. His 56 goals are the second most in hockey while his 374 shots rank first. The Czech winger generates a tonne of chances and he cashes in on them regularly.

He’s also a bonafide Leaf killer.

Pastrnak has 16 goals in 23 regular season games against Toronto, with an additional seven in 14 playoff games. Expect him to light the lamp tonight.

DeBrusk to not record a point (+104): DeBrusk has been held pointless in four of his past six games and we expect those struggles to continue. He’s only picked up 48 points in 59 games this season, too, putting him at 0.81 PPG.

DeBrusk had zero points in his lone game against Toronto earlier this year.
