Marcel Sabitzer Next Club Odds: Manchester United big favourites to sign Bayern Munich midfielder I BettingOdds.com

Marcel Sabitzer has reportedly been offered to a few clubs on deadline day and the bookmakers are now offering odds on his next club for this window.

The move is rumoured to be just a loan deal but Paddy Power will count that as a move in their betting market.

We’ll take a look at his options according to the bookmaker's odds.

Not to sign or agree a contract with any other club

Manchester United have been fairly unlucky with their injuries as of late and following the news of Christian Eriksen being out until the end of April / early may, they’ll be looking for a short-term replacement as soon as possible.

Donny van De Beek is another player who will be on the sidelines for some time and that leaves Man Utd with a shortage of options in the midfield.

Marcel Sabitzer, who moved to Bayern Munich in 2021, is reportedly being offered to United on a loan with an option to buy and it makes complete sense for the Red Devils to take Bayern up on this offer.

Eriksen was one of the signings of the season considering he was available on a free transfer and the impact he has had on the squad is huge. Whilst it’s a huge gap to fill, United need to try anything they can and Sabitzer will hopefully fit that midfield role perfectly.

United do have Fred and McTominay to step up in the absence of Eriksen but with no disrespect intended towards them, they are not on the level of Eriksen and are more defensive-minded midfielders compared to the Danish international.

Man Utd have opened as the 1/3 favourites to get Sabitzer by the end of the window and if the rumours are true of him being offered to them, most of the footballing world fully expects them to take Bayern up on that offer.

Chelsea are absolutely everywhere in this market and they find themselves in for the Austrian midfielder as well.

Chelsea and Manchester United are the rumoured two clubs he has been offered to and with the Blues just getting rid of Jorginho to Arsenal, they may look to further strengthen their numbers in the middle of the park with Sabitzer.

January has been a monumental month for Chelsea in their rebuilding process having spent a shed load of money already, if they are to complete the signing of Enzo Fernandez who is their main target, their spend for the month will rocket to over £300m in one January window.

Of course, Enzo Fernandez could completely wipe out this move for Sabitzer to Chelsea. It would be strange of Chelsea to go in for another midfielder if they splash £120m on the Benfica star. However, if that move does fall through, and it is looking less and less likely as time goes on, they could fall back to the Bayern Munich man.

They’ve been priced at 10/1 to sign Sabitzer before the end of the window and if their negotiations with Benfica hit a standstill for Enzo, it could be a decent bet, but expect Manchester United to act fast on Sabitzer if they get any chance at all.

Paddy Power are offering odds on Sabitzer to stay at his club Bayern Munich and that is priced at 5/2.

The midfielder has actually played a fair amount this season and has 24 appearances for the club so far this season bringing his total of minutes to 1009 for Bayern in 22/23 which works out at 42 minutes a game.

He’s not a regular starter for Bayern and is still only 28 years old. A loan move makes sense for both Manchester United and Bayern Munich. As previously mentioned, if Bayern do offer him out to Manchester United I fully expect the Premier League side to take them up on the offer.
