Martina Navratilova gives verdict on Iga Swiatek's chances of keeping No 1 spot

Martina Navratilova thinks Iga Swiatek will be world No 1 in the 2023 season. Swiatesk replaced Ashleigh Barty at the top spot after the Australian announced her retirement from tennis in March.

Navratilova believes that Swiatek is the most consistent player on the WTA Tour. Swiatesk has won two French Open and one US Open titles. She is looking to win her fourth Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January. In early 2022, Swiatedk made her first Australian open semifinal before losing to Danielle Collins.
